| Lynn Atzenhoffer is coordinating ticket sales for a Baseball outing for the Lake County Captains Jewish Heritage Day, SUNDAY, AUGUST 29TH AT 1:00 P.M. The Lake County Captains will be playing the Silver Hawks. Temple Rabbis will be throwing out first pitches! Our group can all sit together. There will be Jewish food and Israeli dancing. It promises to be a fun time. Tickets are reasonably priced at $7.00 each (adults and kids pay the same amount). We take special pleasure in inviting you to attend our services on the High Holy Days. This year we will be holding services at a new location, Rocky River United Methodist Church, 19414 Detroit Road, Rocky River, OH. We are happy to have Cantorial Soloist Larry Sheir and Accompanist Mel Arnoff join us once more. The Temple choir will work in tandem with them to assist Rabbi Lettofsky. Rabbi Enid Lader will lead the Taste of Judaism series of classes. The classes are scheduled September 21 and 28th and October 5th at 7:30pm at Beth Israel the West Temple

The Steering Committee of the Center for Jewish Life project wants to meet with all of our members this summer. We want to discuss with you where we are in the process of developing the CJL and to hear of your ideas and desires about the Center. We are doing this in 11 small group meetings that will be held in various members’ homes during July and August. We have tried to locate the meetings throughout the many communities Beth Israel serves and throughout the week. You should get a personal phone invitation from one of hosts this coming week.
You do not have to attend the meeting you are invited to if another day is more convenient. We only ask that if you go to another meeting that you call the host and let them know you are coming so that they know how many people to expect. Each meeting will be attended by two or more members of the Steering Committee who will answer your questions and listen to your concerns. The schedule of all 11 meetings is given below. I hope you can attend one of these important meetings.
